UNACEM North America, a subsidiary of Grupo UNACEM, is seeking a proactive and highly organized Treasury Assistant to support the treasury function by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day cash management activities, bank transactions, and supporting internal control and compliance. By providing timely and precise administrative and operational support, the Treasury Assistant helps enable smooth treasury operations and informed financial decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Deposits & CRL:
Maintain cash receipt log of all collections.
Deposit checks either in person at the bank or by using the scanner.
Monitor and verify positive balances in small companies' cash positions and notify Accounting accordingly.
Payments:
Input check issuances into bank systems.
Handle check mailing and resolve bank inquiries.
Process manual ACH and wire payments (1?3 times per week).
Revolving Credit Documentation, Tracking & Payment:
Set up loan payments and rollovers.
Complete loan documentation and rollover procedures.
Track loan/rollover activity and manage interest payments.
Intercompany Transfers:
Monitor and track all intercompany transfers.
Monthly Treasury Reporting:
Prepare monthly collection reports.
Create monthly debt schedules for UNA companies.
Support cash flow forecasting by entering inflows and small company balances.
Analyze cash flow performance on a month-over-month and year-over-year basis.
Treasury Files Maintenance:
Download and distribute bank statements to the Accounting department.
Download credit card and fuel statements and send the information to cardholders.
Maintain multiple Excel-based trackers for documentation and compliance.
Reporting Support:
Assist the Treasury Manager with report preparation for banks and third-party stakeholders.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor?s degree in Finance or a related field preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or treasury support role within a corporate or professional setting.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and time management skills. Ability to compile and summarize information clearly..
Technical Proficiency: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; familiarity with payment processes and understanding of debt schedules and intercompany transfers.
