The right candidate will be able/willing to learn our process and product and advance to leading a team in the shipping/receiving area.
Position Responsibilities:
- Learn and master the shipping/receiving activities and process of our business.
- Load/unload trucks Ensure the company’s high-quality standards and exemplary customer service are being met.
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
- Process work orders as necessary to move product between the production area and lumber yard tractor trailers (Epicor Lumber Track Software a plus).
Qualified Candidates Must:
- Possess lumber experience and knowledge (preferred).
- Possess computer skills. Knowledge of Epicor/Lumber Track is a plus.
- Possess supervisory/lead experience (preferred).
- Possess a high degree of reliability and attention to detail.
- Pay keen attention to safety and quality.
- Possess a desire to commit to a long-term relationship with a growing and solid business.
Other Requirements:
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts (will train).
- Able & willing to work in all weather conditions (as this is an outdoor position).
- Lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Problem solving skills.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Interpersonal Skills - Work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
Hours And Benefits:
- 4-Day Work Week! (Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts with 1 weekday off as determined by employer) after 90 day probationary period.
- Competitive hourly wage is paid bi-weekly.
