Job Description
The material handler position at Bosch involves a variety of tasks related to receiving and moving raw materials, parts, and packing materials to prescribed departments and locations. Performs incoming inspection functions when applicable.
Job Responsibilities
- Operates and services power forklift trucks, uses hand trucks and other equipment. Drive and operate a box truck.
- May operate banding and wrapping equipment as required. Receives and unloads trucks of incoming material.
- Verifies and records counts of incoming and outgoing material on operating system and reports discrepancies to supervision.
- Signs bills of loading on incoming material, loads miscellaneous materials to trucks such as scrap, empty drums and materials for other plants.
- Follows incoming inspection procedures manual of specific materials to select, examine and record condition of samples. Has knowledge of product and product specifications.
- Reports to supervision when substandard samples are found.
- May handle empty skids, pallets, and miscellaneous dunnage, and stack or store as required.
- miscellaneous scrap materials out of production area to warehouse or yard.
- Keeps warehouse and yard storage orderly to use available space to the best advantage.
- Performs daily production cycle counts as directed by supervision.
- Reports shortages of material of any kind and may be required to take inventory of material at periodic intervals as directed.
- May perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
- Responsible for keeping work area clean and orderly.
- Supplies production lines with necessary materials when required and moves.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of warehouse experience
- Customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift experience
- Must be able to work with numbers
- Strong interpersonal, customer relationship and decision-making skills.
- Good organization skills and able to multi-task
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team in a high-volume fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software is a plus
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to perform essential physical tasks throughout the workday, including:
- Lifting materials weighing up to 45 lbs.
- Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
- Climbing up and down stairs and ladders as needed
- Working in different climates and weather conditions
- Frequent bending, lifting, and moving of materials during shift operations
