Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Registered or Certified Technicians a PLUS ! You will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with various medical procedures and ensuring the well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with the past 3 uninterrupted years in an hospital performing surgery regularly. Our potential new team member must have great communication skills with clients and team members along with a passion for excellence in patient care while working in a harmonious environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor animal health and behavior during recovery.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Provide client education on pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility, including kennels and treatment areas.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to minimize infection risks.
- Handle animals safely and humanely while providing comfort.
- Be willing to train and develop others
Qualifications
- Knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology is essential.
- Experience with animal handling, care, and husbandry practices.
- Familiarity with animal catheterization techniques is preferred.
- Skills in equine care are a plus for candidates interested in working with horses.
- Previous experience in kennel management or pet grooming is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion for animals.

Pay: $21.00 - $31.00 per hour
