We’re a fast-growing communications company looking for a Support Technician who’s both people-centered and tech-curious. Whether you’ve tinkered with Linux, set up a home server, or just enjoy diving into the details behind how devices talk to each other—we want to talk to you.
This is an entry-level, fully remote role where your #1 job is to make customers feel heard, supported, and confident using our systems. No prior VoIP experience is required—just a service-first mindset and the technical curiosity to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to customer support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system
- Train new users remotely (occasionally in person) on our VoIP platform
- Troubleshoot phones, networks, and VoIP devices with patience and clarity
- Keep detailed notes in our helpdesk system
- Occasionally visit customer sites for hardware setups (rare; mileage reimbursed)
- After you’re fully trained, participate in the on-call support rotation (~1–2 weeks per month)
Who You Are
- You get real satisfaction from teaching and helping people succeed
- You’ve dabbled in tech—you might’ve:
- Built or run a home lab
- Used or explored Linux
- Configured a router, switch, or access point
- Helped friends/family with tech problems for fun
- You’re a clear communicator who can explain complex things simply
- You’re curious and self-driven—you don’t wait to be told to go learn
- You have a reliable work-from-home setup (quiet space + high-speed internet)
- You’re comfortable lifting 75 lbs and have reliable transportation for occasional site visits
Bonus points for:
- Experience with ticketing systems, remote support tools, or SIP/VoIP basics
