Job Summary
The Fabricator will perform various metal fabrication tasks associated with building of diesel exhaust system components. The employee must be proficient in the processes of rolling, seam welding, pressing, coining, and forming various exhaust system components while deploying high quality standards in a clean, efficient, and team-oriented work environment.
Essential Duties & Functions

- Proficient use of rolling, seam welding, flaring, forming and pressing equipment to make required parts
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints to ensure proper processes are used in the fabrication of parts
- Check measurements and dimensions of parts with calipers, tape measure and height gage
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines
- Flexible to work with various types of parts on any given day and apply quick changeover processes to ensure production needs are met
- Maintain high quality work while being highly productive to meet daily production needs
- Follow state and company safety regulations and rules

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is often required to lift items over 55 lbs.
Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing facility environment, with industrial equipment. Noise levels fluctuate from moderate to high. While performing duties of this job, the employee must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This PPE will vary based upon type of work performed but often will include safety glasses and protective clothing.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and includes an unpaid lunch break of thirty (30) minutes, and two paid breaks of fifteen (15) minutes each.
Travel
Occasional travel during the work day may be required between facility location, approximately 1 mile apart.
