Job Summary
Maxon Industries is hiring a Warehouse Manager with a strong background in manufacturing. This position plays a key role in inventory oversight, vendor relations, internal communication, and shipping coordination. We’re looking for someone organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in warehouse operations and procurement within a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations:
- Maintain and regulate inventory levels based on current production, anticipated forecasts, and field demand.
- Source competitive quotes for third-party vendor-supplied components.
- Manage and maintain vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate with Engineering, Production, and Sales teams regarding lead times, price changes, and inventory statuses.
- Support customers by fulfilling replacement parts requests promptly.
Production Support:
- Generate shop routings and work orders to streamline manufacturing processes.
- Review engineering drawings to identify and procure third-party components.
- Audit internal inventory and catalogue systems for accuracy (e.g., cylinders, valves, switches, hardware, fittings).
- Maintain stock of shop consumables (e.g., grinders, cutting tips/discs, drill bits, fluids).
- Package warehouse items per work orders and prepare assembly components for equipment builds.
Shipping and Receiving:
- Obtain freight quotes, schedule shipments, and coordinate with brokers and drivers.
- Create Bills of Lading, packing slips, and other shipping documentation.
- Ensure proper packaging, skidding, and crating of components for safe transport.
- Document shipments with photos, spreadsheets, and other internal records.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy equipment or industrial machinery.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and vendor negotiation.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Proficiency in generating work orders and reviewing technical drawings.
- Familiarity with shipping logistics and documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading).
- Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the concrete transportation or construction equipment industry.
- Knowledge of hydraulic components and industrial fittings.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 56 per week
