Purpose and Scope:
Will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, development and implementation of an equipment management information system, and establishment of an inspection, maintenance and repair capability for stored or leased equipment. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversees inventory of equipment or operated by the company or leased to tenants. Including the updating and maintenance of inventory databases.
- Manages warehousing functions including receipt, storage, and disbursement of property.
- Arranges for alterations to, or maintenance, upkeep, or reconditioning of possessed personal property. Develops and enforces lessee's agreements for maintenance and upkeep of leased equipment.
- Purchases supplies and equipment for use on leased properties.
- Advises clients relative to selling of personal property.
- Directs sale of personal property when determined excess to GKDC's needs.
- Prepares periodic inventories of building contents and property condition, and forwards listing to owner for review.
- Supervise, coordinate, schedule and plan all activities of warehouse employees.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- High school education or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience with emphasis in inventory and warehouse management, and property accountability experience preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of MS Office and database management software.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in a practical situation.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Operation of forklift is incidental to the job and training will be provided.
- Must be willing to train in order to operate equipment.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
