Asbury Pointe is looking for a Weekend Breakfast Server.
Hours: Saturdays and Sundays 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $16.25/hour
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the continental breakfast (set-up and maintain) including maintaining the club rom, set up dish area, main dining (setting and cleaning), staff room (set up and lunch), cold food prep, opening the dining room for lunch service, waitress the lunch hour.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:
1. Provide service in a friendly and timely manner.
2. Utilize proper food handling and food service techniques.
3. Maintaining the continental breakfast from start to finish.
4. Maintaining the dish area and staff room.
5. The set-up and detailed cleaning of the main dining room.
6. Responsible for dinner reservations (phone retrieval) assign residents dining room and table numbers, return reservation calls as needed. Complete daily reservation phone log, call sheets, Time placement sheets and table placement sheets. Take lunch reservations.
7. Maintains CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent facility, staff and resident care information.
8. Assures residents have the right to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to file complaints, are followed.
9. Attends and participates in inservice education classes and on-the-job training programs as required. Attends and participates in workshops, seminars, etc. as directed.
OTHER RELATED COMPETENCIES:
1. All other duties as may be assigned by the Manager, or Dining Room Supervisor
2. Follows all established safety procedures and precautions.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Standing, walking for long periods oftime, bending and stooping; full range of mobility and motion, ability to lift/carry medium weights (up to 20 lbs.), light pushing/pulling (up to
60 lbs.), corrected vision and hearing, color discrimination, depth perception and sense of
touch. Motor coordination and manual dexterity necessary to perform various work routines such as serving food stuff and means, handling soiled dishes, operating food service equipment and cleaning work area.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must express and demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population. Must be capable of reading and writing the English language; follow written and verbal instructions and work assignments. Must demonstrate a warm, outgoing personality and a neat, clean appearance. Must be able to work flexible hours, such as during staff shortages or emergency situations. Must demonstrate experience waiting tables, having knowledge of dining room set-up and hospitality, and food service prep knowledge.
