Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, as ordered by physicians
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality images
- Review images for quality and ensure they meet diagnostic standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze images
- Input and maintain patient records and update medical histories as necessary
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain aseptic technique during procedures
- Provide compassionate care to patients during procedures, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an X-ray Technician
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques, including X-rays
- Proficiency in using imaging equipment and software systems
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology to accurately position patients for imaging procedures
- Ability to follow instructions from physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate image capture and interpretation
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
- Flexibility to work in various settings
