Job Purpose:
The Yard Workers is responsible for operating commercial and/or industrial equipment to load, unload, store, or transport materials or product.
Description of Essential Duties:
- Practice safe, thorough, and positive work habits.
- Work under Yard Supervisor and yard team members using applied practices.
- Unloading, receiving, and taking inventory of scheduled deliveries
- Stage material production
- Load completed jobs and secure load to trailers, using D.O.T. requirements.
- Use rigging techniques to safely move material.
- Must maintain a clean work environment, taking the initiative to pick up and know how our yard should be kept.
- Conduct a weekly inventory of yard items being stocked to ensure correct material levels and which items need to be reordered.
- Maintain an organized work area free from any unnecessary hazards associated with the work being performed.
