Position Summary: The Housekeeping Facility Manager is a working supervisor responsible for overseeing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping functions at the YMCA Fairfax County Reston branch. This role leads a team to ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and fully operational—enhancing the member experience and supporting the YMCA’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the housekeeping and facility operations staff, including the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Conduct frequent walkthroughs to monitor cleanliness, safety, and mechanical efficiency.
- Manage and respond to work orders with minimal impact to member experience.
- Oversee cleaning supply and chemical inventory.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and facility staff.
- Support special projects and respond to facility needs as they arise.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility and/or housekeeping operations.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance.
- Proven leadership and staff supervision experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Budgeting and financial management experience a plus.
- Pool Operator Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active, fast-paced environment.
- Must be available for emergency call-outs as needed.
