ICT Service Desk Support Officer – Part-Time

Salary: $40 – $50 per hour

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on, reliable ICT Service Desk Support Officer to join our team part-time. You will be the first point of contact for all ICT support across our business group, including TPS Energy Head Office in Hobart, TPS Energy related businesses and industries in Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia, 6 TSG retail and Tatts Lotto stores, 9 Saigon Express stores, Saigon Express Franchise Management, and 2 post office and news agency businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line support to staff at head office, in stores, restaurants and post offices, both on site and remotely
• Give remote support to sites in Victoria and South Australia, and travel there when needed
• Set up, maintain and fix company database, computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices and other equipment
• Support point-of-sale (POS) systems, EFTPOS terminals, news agency systems and in-store technology
• Work with Australia Post, The Lott and other suppliers on their systems and equipment at sites
• Manage Microsoft 365 accounts, email, user access, passwords and licenses
• Maintain networks, Wi-Fi, internet connections and CCTV systems across all sites
• Manage backups, antivirus and basic cybersecurity, including staff awareness
• Keep a record of support requests, IT assets, software licenses and supplier contracts
• Help set up IT for new sites, staff onboarding and system upgrades

About you

• Experience in an IT service desk, helpdesk or technical support role
• Good knowledge of SQL database and similar database management softwares, Windows, Microsoft 365, networking basics and hardware troubleshooting
• Experience with POS, retail, hospitality, news agency or post office systems is highly regarded
• Confident using remote support tools to help staff in other states
• Good problem-solving skills and a calm, friendly approach with non-technical staff
• Well organized and able to manage priorities across many businesses and locations
• Current driver's license and your own car, as you will travel between sites in southern Tasmania, including Hobart, Margate and Blackmans Bay
• Willing to travel interstate now and then
• A relevant qualification (Certificate IV or Diploma in IT, or similar higher degree) is an advantage
