Salary: $900 - $1100 p.d.

Senior CIAM Software Engineer / Technical Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior CIAM Software Engineer to lead the hands-on implementation of large-scale consumer identity and access management solutions within a complex Federal Government environment.

This is a senior technical position combining software engineering, solution design and team leadership. You will tackle complex identity challenges, maintain high development standards and mentor engineers across the team.

  • Candidates must hold or be able to obtain an NV1 security clearance

Key

responsibilities

  • Lead the technical implementation of complex CIAM solutions
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable software using JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Perform code reviews and establish strong engineering practices
  • Troubleshoot complex technical and integration issues
  • Contribute to solution design, estimation, refinement and delivery planning
  • Mentor and upskill engineers within the team
  • Integrate CIAM solutions with other applications, platforms and services
  • Explore emerging technologies and AI-assisted development approaches

What we are looking for:

  • Advanced object-oriented programming skills with extensive JavaScript and TypeScript experience
  • Strong unit and integration testing capability, including experience with frameworks such as Jest
  • Extensive experience implementing complex CIAM solutions
  • Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
  • Experience customising and integrating CIAM products such as Auth0, Okta, ForgeRock or Ping
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and supporting a collaborative technical environment
  • Experience configuring SaaS CIAM services will be highly regarded
  • Cloud-based microservices experience across AWS, Azure or GCP will also be beneficial
