As a senior member of the Infrastructure team, you’ll also help set technical standards, share your expertise and mentor others, lifting capability across the team while improving the consistency, performance and reliability of our cloud platforms.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Cloud Operations and Optimisation

  • Acting as a senior escalation point for complex cloud and infrastructure issues.
  • Ensuring effective monitoring, alerting and observability across cloud platforms.
  • Leading cloud cost management and optimisation, providing visibility of cloud spend and recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • Applying strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability to maintain secure, reliable and high-performing environments.

Technical Leadership

  • Setting and promoting cloud engineering standards and best practices across the team.
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to build cloud capability and confidence.
  • Sharing technical knowledge and helping the team solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Contributing technical expertise and insight to strategic planning for the future evolution of Keystart’s cloud and infrastructure platforms.

About You

You’re an experienced cloud engineer who enjoys being close to the technology while also taking a broader view of how cloud platforms should evolve. You’re comfortable tackling complex technical challenges, influencing technical direction and sharing your knowledge with others.

You’ll bring:

  • Extensive hands-on experience working with cloud platforms, ideally with deep experience in Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, identity and security.
  • Proven experience leading or playing a senior technical role in complex cloud migrations, modernisation initiatives or cloud engineering projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience with scripting, automation and infrastructure-as-code.
  • A working knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimisation.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability and willingness to mentor others, share knowledge and help lift capability across a team.
