Technical Business Analyst - Data Platforms

Salary: AUD 135 - 145 per hour, Long Contract

About the role

Enterprise federal agency seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support design and delivery of data platform and analytics initiatives. You'll bridge business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating complex data requirements into working solutions.

Operating with broad autonomy, you'll:

• Elicit and document business, functional and data requirements
• Develop data metadata, dictionaries and lineage documentation
• Define data quality rules, validation criteria and acceptance measures
• Support testing, reconciliation and business acceptance activities
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and manage requirements through delivery
• Ensure initiatives align with governance, privacy and security obligations

• Demonstrated data platform or analytics delivery experience
• Background in government or regulated-sector environments
• Experience gathering and managing complex business and data requirements
• Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder facilitation skills
• Understanding of data governance, information management and privacy principles

• Agile, Scrum or BABOK qualifications
• Experience working within healthcare or highly regulated sectors

Canberra or Sydney - hybrid, 2 days onsite minimum per week.

Start: 1st November 2026.
