Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to provide input into the financial reporting and forecasting of the project.
  • Developing and managing the project’s main programme and ensuring progress is maintained against agreed targets.

  • Providing leadership, direction and support to employees throughout the project.

  • Coordinating the release of design information and ensuring materials are procured and available when required.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s quality procedures and standards.
  • Managing subcontractors and the wider supply chain to ensure works are delivered effectively.
  • Monitoring the quality of works throughout the project and ensuring a high standard of workmanship is maintained.
  • Overseeing the successful completion and handover of the project, with a strong focus on achieving a snag-free finish.

About You:

  • You will have proven experience in a senior project management role within the construction industry, with a strong track record of managing projects from inception through to completion.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in a built environment discipline is preferred, although candidates with strong trade experience and a proven project management background will also be considered.
  • You will have a strong understanding of health and safety, quality standards and construction best practice, with experience managing project teams, subcontractors and the supply chain.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential. You will be confident dealing with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join an established contractor and play a key role in the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects.
