Our Potential Opportunity

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking Mechanical Draftsman to join our Wellhead and Skids Solutions team. This role is pivotal in advancing Process Automation Solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy. What You’ll Lead and Deliver

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and 2D/3D digital models for mechanical equipment and piping systems.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of international codes, standards, and industry best practices related to piping design and drafting.
  • Develop 2D and 3D models for FEED-level piping and equipment designs, including skid-based structures and associated components.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing personnel to understand project requirements, verify design details, and recommend modifications in line with company standards and project specifications.
  • Develop plans, details, sections, layouts, and fabrication drawings that accurately communicate construction and manufacturing requirements.
  • Maintain drafting standards, design documentation, drawing registers, and drafting logs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and incorporate red-line markups and ensure all required design changes are accurately reflected in final drawings.
  • Participate in CAD model reviews and design coordination meetings as required.
  • Ensure drawings and models comply with applicable project specifications, engineering requirements, drafting standards, and quality procedures.
  • Support engineers and project teams in resolving drafting and design-related issues while meeting project schedules and deliverable deadlines.

Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:

  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical and piping drafting, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and one or more 3D design platforms such as CADWorx, PDMS, or Tekla.
  • Strong understanding of piping layouts, equipment arrangements, skid-based systems, and mechanical fabrication requirements.
  • Good knowledge of applicable international codes and standards for piping design and drafting.
  • Strong technical communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and work effectively within strict project deadlines.
