We are seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician to join our team as a 1099 Independent Contractor. This role inolves the installation, maintenance, and reapir of our outdoor structures such as sheds, garages, and gazebos at customer homes and sales locations. This is a part-time, project-based role ideal for an experienced professional with a background in construction, renovation, or remodeling.
The contractor must operate as an LLC and carry active liability insurance. All tools, equipment, and transportation must be supplied by the contractor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain outdoor structures at customers' sites and sales locations
- Perform a vareity of repairs, including carpentry, roofing, and painting, and minor electrical work
- Perform demolition of existing structures
- Read and interpret work orders, service tickets, floor plans, and other job-related documents.
- Safely transport materials using personal vehicle and trailer
- Provide professional, courteous communication to customers and address service requests and concerns in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and safe work site
- Transport materials between locations when necessary
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for exteneded periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and reach
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction, renovation, or general repair work
- Must have a registered LLC and provide proof of liability insurance
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Must provide own tools, equipment, and reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to travel
Compensation:
- Pay is based on experience and scope of work
- This is a 1099 contract position. No benefit included.
- Bi-weekly pay schedule.
