Department: Shipping

Reports to: Dustin Spears

Location: Beardstown, Illinois

Effective Date: 06/06/2025

Job Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Salaried Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (Saturdays required with shipping schedule, flexibility as needed)

Travel Requirements: 0-5%

Job Summary:
The JBS Pork team is seeking a 1st Shift Load Planner. The load planner manages the logistics of shipping orders, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery. They will optimize loads, coordinate with various teams and manage trailer inventory, all while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Load Planners work with various departments, including logistics, warehousing, and customer service, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery solutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Organize orders in tray for loading dock
  • Assign loads to doors
  • Print pick list
  • Assign Row Cards
  • Temp recorders for each load
  • Check inventory received and make adjustments as needed
  • Dispatch loads in and out of dock doors
  • Provide information on product and load status to shag service and production management
  • Manage trailer assigning, changing status, etc.
  • Check product rotation
  • Plan future dated load activities
  • Run out-by-time reports
  • Assist loading dock in other needs for remainder of time
  • Log shipments on load sheet
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the industry
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
  • Must be able to tolerate smells and extreme temperatures

  • Must maintain exceptional communication written and verbal
  • Must have good attendance
  • Internal applicants must have less than 2 points

Education, Experience, Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (plus but not required)
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The Applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Base Salary: Min. $18.54/hr-Mid. $22.52/hr (Based on knowledge and experience)
