Overview
OUTPOST SUSHI is looking for a Expediter to join our front of house family. The Expediter is the important bridge between the kitchen, baggers and servers. They are responsible for ensuring that food orders are properly designated and prepared for pick up and delivered quickly to our guests. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong amount organizational skills, and a large amount of patience in a fast paced and hectic environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate orders from the kitchen to the bagger, dining area, and pick-up area ensuring timely delivery.
- Communicate with kitchen staff, baggers and servers to confirm proper order fulfillment.
- Check for proper food presentation and quality before it reaches the customer.
- Support bagger and server staff by confirming sauces and utensils are present and adoquit.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock in work area, including the back up of sauces, packaging and utensils, to maximize quick efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns regarding their orders with courtesy and empathy, despite their attitude.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant is a plus but not necessary.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate interaction between kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and composure.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a willingness to be compassionate.
