Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Carry out residential painting and touch-ups as needed to keep facilities looking their best.
- Provide porter services, ensuring that all common areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Execute commercial cleaning tasks in offices, restrooms, and other areas as required.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good condition.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices, including industrial cleaning techniques.
- Proficiency in floor care methods, including buffing and waxing.
- Experience in commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and facility occupants.
