This position sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's product. The assembler will build cables and wire harnesses according to drawings, blueprints, works standard processes, and the Standard Operating Detail (SOD). The assembler may also receive written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks.

Reports to the operation supervisor on work progress, including any conditions surrounding failure to meet quantity or quality standards.

Attends Operating Excellence Team meetings and brings recommendations for continuous improvement.

Executes daily functions with key performance metrics in mind: Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Schedule.
Basic Qualifications:

  • 1 year of direct experience
  • Ability to work a flex schedule if needed
  • Experienced with working in an Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) environment
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good computer skills with ability to work from electronic work instructions
  • Strong experience with operating automated equipment
  • Experienced with working with hand tools
  • Use of manual and automatic wire strippers
  • IPC 620 cable knowledge is preferred
  • Must have good manual dexterity
  • Must have good oral/written communication skills
Desired Skills:
  • Strong experience with operating automated equipment
  • Good computer skills
  • Able to interpret drawings and read work instructions required to assemble cable assemblies
