Job Description

The purpose

of this role is to support stores by identifying training needs, developing action plans and ensuring coaching, teaching, and training of associates around all store operational related processes within assigned district. The District Operations Manager will engage with district and store management as well as hourly associates to understand their activities and how they relate to operational efficiency and execution. The District Operations Manager is also responsible for coaching, training and developing employees around processes and tools including customer and product management systems. This also includes working to constantly stretch, challenge and develop associates in stores in an effort to deliver strong operational results which will have a significant financial impact to the company's profitability. A core ability for this role's success will be to diagnose and develop plans to help associates reinforce operational excellence in key operational areas such as Front End, Back End (Receiving, Freight and Delivery), Pro Sales and Services (including Selling Systems), In-Stock, Customer Service (SMART) and Safety. The District Operations Manager must have strong business acumen and must understand Lowe's mission and how it is intended to be realized in the field.

This position

, while reporting to the Regional Operations Director, will collaborate with district and regional leadership to ensure all supporting capabilities are delivered efficiently and effectively. The District Operations Manager must be self-motivated and able to elevate any issues which may impede operational excellence and recommend solutions in assigned locations. The District Operations Manager will work closely with and take direction from Store Operations leadership at the Store Support Center (SSC) to ensure proper alignment to the business unit's





• Coach teach and train store associates in key operational areas such as Front End, Back End (Receiving, Freight and Delivery), Pro Sales and Services (including Selling Systems), In-Stock, Customer Service (SMART) and Safety. Ability to compare and evaluate operational processes and quickly identify and recognize any positive or negative opportunities. This includes addressing opportunities and developing and implementing plans by influencing others both in person and remotely.

• Must remain current, well versed and updated on any new or existing operational processes, as well as be able to formulate, affect, interpret and implement company policies and procedures. Ability to quickly adapt to change and implement new practices as directed by SSC Store Operations leadership which will greatly impact business operations

• Effectively communicate, partner and influence Store and District Leadership on operational areas of improvement and recommend solutions through varying communication channels

• Develop and conduct in-store training sessions while partnering with Store Leadership prior to and at the completion of


• Ability to speak and present to individuals and groups of associates, provide reporting to leadership and interact with various business units at the SSC

•Upon completion of operational reviews, identify deficiencies and recommend and develop action and training plans.

Coach, train and develop associates to ensure underperforming stores/districts have the tools needed to sustain operational excellence.
