Position Summary: The Patient Services Representative III provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments. Completes financial clearance and authorization duties, serves as the administrative support for assigned providers. Works closely with assigned providers to ensure follow up care is completed. Assists with creation and review of divisional performance reports and metrics.

Minimum Qualifications: Three years’ experience in medical front office setting. Surgical scheduling experience preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certifications: High school diploma or GED required.

Skills Required: Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred. Excellent telephone manner and ability to deal effectively with the public. Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Strong coordination, organization and communication skills
