TOCA Operator

Celebrating 70 years of Orthopedic Care in the Valley of the Sun! TOCA is seeking a highly motivated, exceptional customer service oriented, professional operator to join our team to act as a patient liaison for our patients to our clinical teams.

Job Purpose:

The TOCA Operator acts as a Patient Liaison, by directing phone calls from the Operator Queue into TOCA specified departments to ensure accurate and timely communications are facilitated.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer Operator Queue calls and direct calls to appropriate departments / extensions / staff members in a timely manner
  • Assist patients, family members or other callers with concern and empathy; respect their confidentiality and privacy and communicate with them in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Inquire specific information to ensure accurate notes and messages and taken and passed along to appropriate parties
  • Facilitate between departments to ensure the Patient flow is seamlessProvide information to patient regarding TOCA specific services or processes when applicable

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Office experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED or Homeschool Certificate
  • Professional level verbal and written communication expectations
  • Excellence in Customer Service skills/service recovery
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous telephone Operator experience
  • Previous Orthopedic Office experience
