Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Behavioral Interventionist to join our In-home care team for our 18-year old son who has autism & epilepsy.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavior management with a focus on providing support to our son.
Duties
- Provide compassionate care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- Assist with all daily life skills
- Implement behavioral intervention techniques tailored to his needs to increase independence with daily living skills
- Collect and maintain accurate data to track his progress.
- Collaborate with suoervisor, family and care team to create comprehensive support strategies
- Maintain open communication with supervisor.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or course towards a degree in Psychology, Child Development or Applied Behavior Analysis Preferred
- CPR/First Aid Required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Experience in de-escalation and crisis prevention.
- Strong understanding of behavioral principles and practices.
- Proficient in data collection methods
- Comfortable with using Proloquo and picture cards for communication
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with our son and our family
- Ability to work while demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Must be Non smoking and not use any legal or illegal substances
- Possess work authorization to be employed in the U.S.
- CA licenced and drives own car

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- After school
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Applied behavior analysis: 1 year (Required)
- Using methods to communicate with non verbal clients: 1 year (Required)
