Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess an accounting background with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Besides A/P, A/R, G/L and producing Financial Statements each month, the candidate will work along side the General Manager and Finance Department on billing, budgeting and tax reporting.
Duties
- Accounts Payable. Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and creating Financial Statements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
- Manage the general ledger, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
- Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor the organization's liquidity and financial health.
- Oversee tax preparation and compliance, ensuring timely filing of all tax returns.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning.
- Update Inventory worksheets.
- Update and maintain data base.
Skills
- Proficiency in general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
- Strong skills using Word, Excel, QuickBooks and F&B POS Software.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Excellent cash flow analysis skills with a solid understanding of financial acumen.
- Familiarity with debits and credits, ensuring accurate recording of transactions.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical abilities for problem-solving.
