Job Description:
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant & Collections Specialist to join our team in the disaster restoration industry. This position requires experience in accounting and collections, a strong understanding of homeowner insurance processes, and proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Handle collection activities and follow up on overdue payments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve billing issues related to insurance claims.
- Communicate with homeowners and insurance companies and TPA’s regarding payments.
- Provide customer service for billing inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Experience in accounting and collections within the disaster restoration field.
- Experience working with homeowner insurance claims and processes.
- Understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and analytical.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
