Marco Destin, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist. The candidate will ensure and perform bookkeeping and accounting functions following company policy. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounts receivable/payable and verify invoices and requisitions for services. Post invoices and payments in AX System and QuickBooks and manage systems
- Manage internal collections, involving account maintenance.
- Analyze past due accounts and perform due diligence for collection activity.
- Prepare as needed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analyses.
- Supports all actions and transactions related to customer accounts
- Receiving, recording, and processing invoices for payments; including routine recalculating of price extensions, due dates, discounts, account codes and payment addresses
- Review invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Examine records of amounts and make sure invoices are paid in accordance to terms and discount taken
- Maintains vendor records including new price adjustments
- Recommend and source alternates
- Prepares and enters non-Purchase order related statements
- Monthly reconciliation of credit card charges
- Debit/Credit Memo creation using QuickBooks accounting software
- Accounts receivable collections
- Deposits to the bank, as necessary
- Enter new customer orders
- Daily reconciliation of credit card receipts
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Responsible for paying company bills and ensuring that financial statements include the correct information
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge or proficient in AX system and QuickBooks
- Proficient with Excel is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and exquisite follow-up skills
