Activities Assistant
Hillsbrook Village at Allenstown is a brand-new, luxury Assisted and Independent Living Facility in Allenstown, NH. We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our innovative Wellness-4 Later Life™ program. This role is crucial in enriching the lives of our residents across independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
Schedule
This is a full-time position: Weekend availability is required (Rotating weekends)
What You'll Bring
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors, especially those with dementia, is essential. You should also have experience working in an activities department.
- Passion: A genuine desire to engage and empower seniors through diverse activities.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Your Impact
As an Activities Assistant, you'll work closely with the Director of Life Enrichment Activities Program (LEAP) and Exercise Physiologists to implement our unique Wellness-4 Later Life™ program. This program is rooted in the International Council on Active Aging's seven dimensions of wellness: physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, vocational, and environmental.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Support Activities: Facilitate and monitor a wide range of engaging activities and programs for residents in all levels of care, including our Egis Memory Support Neighborhood.
- Program Development: Brainstorm and help implement new activities that align with the seven dimensions of wellness.
- Resident Engagement: Assess new residents' interests, encourage participation, and gather feedback to tailor programs to their desires and needs.
- Safe Environment: Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for all activities, including setting up and cleaning up spaces and equipment.
- Documentation: Accurately track resident participation and interests.
- Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the LEAP Director, Exercise Physiologists, and other staff to ensure a cohesive resident experience.
- Communication: Build strong relationships with residents, demonstrating excellent listening and verbal communication skills. Clearly convey information to residents and the team.
- Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality and uphold a positive and professional image.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in training and departmental improvement initiatives.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
