Summary:
The Data & Analytics Business Analyst is responsible for envisioning, prioritizing and building analytics products by working closely with stakeholders and managing end-to-end implementation of the product, while potentially leading a cross functional team. They are the link between the business objectives and core technological capabilities the team is building. Furthermore, their goal is to drive organized and effective requirements gathering to build the product. They are responsible for utilizing creative and practical thinking to translate requirements into direct improvements. They are responsible for ensuring the team knows and understands what they are expected to build through a backlog and user stories and how it connects to overall objectives. The Data & Analytics Business Analyst is the team's source for business logic, requirements, analysis, and testing features once ready.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the key contact to define new use cases and supports use case deployment teams with requirements gathering working in tandem with the Product Owner or comparable stakeholder
- Know the status of all use cases and ensure that all feedback is collected and addressed
- Responsible for delivering analytical projects on-time by pushing and unlocking the team when needed
- Develop and communicate delivery goals, strategies, tactics, project plans, deadlines and key performance metrics to achieve goals
- Drive and prepare interactions with all stakeholders and ensure alignment on key decisions and content for the product with business users and sponsors, anchoring on business outcomes and value
- Understand different processes related to implementation (approvals etc.) and are capable of identifying required people within the organization to make sure that required tasks are being done
- Collaborates with other data & analytic team members to ensure models are developed according to business requirements and that they are integrated to the other components in an appropriate way
- Manage the cross functional team for the product and lead the implementation journey
- Ensures that product delivery best practices are met and standard work followed
- Provides user-friendly and business-relevant training in self-service reporting tools across the Data & Analytics portfolio, including EPIC Cogito and Tableau.
- Leverages excellent communication and documentation strategies to ensure project clarity and effectiveness of outcomes.
How You’ll Be Successful:
WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years as a business analyst or equivalent role in Data & Analytics, Technology, and/or Healthcare industry - required
EDUCATION
- Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - required
- Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience - preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- EPIC Cognito Fundamentals Certification 180 Days - required
- Agile, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma Certification - preferred
