MMH services include Veteran Disability exams, and occupational health such as DOT examinations, and company physicals. We provide in-office services. We are currently recruiting for qualified part-time/PRN advanced practice providers to join our growing team.
The PA/NP role is essential to providing our patients the highest level of care. Advanced practice providers perform direct patient care using evidence-based medicine. Though the role is highly autonomous, advanced practice providers work in conjunction with the MMH leadership team to facilitate patient care. Ideal candidates are effective communicators, detail-oriented, highly organized, collaborative, team-focused, dependable, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
- Perform patient histories, physical exams, and preventative screenings
- Formulate diagnoses, and identify problems and health risks
- Manage patients in accordance with MMH policies and procedures
- Exercise independent judgement in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients commensurate with training and experience
- Perform medical exams on workers required to have the exam per their employer
- Communicate directly with employers regarding mandated exams as well as injury care
- Provide information, education and support to patients and families
- Collaborate with other members of the care team
- Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic tests in consultation with provider team
- Document effectively and in a timely manner
- Attend meetings, in-services, and participate in staff development, as required
- Proficient with medical software applications (electronic health records system, patient scheduling, billing, insurance, and etcetera)
- Proficient with office software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation publishing, email, and etcetera)
- Willing to receive additional training, as needed, and remain current on skills necessary for position
- Willing to perform front/back-office tasks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned that are commensurate with professional service

EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS:
- Unrestricted license or license eligibility as an advanced practice provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate) as set forth by the state of Virginia
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Nurse Practitioner)
- DEA license must be active and in good standing
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Lifesaving (BLS) certificate
- DOT certification preferred and maintained during employment
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years experience in a clinical setting, relevant field, preferred
- Telehealth experience preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Knowledge of primary care, urgent care, and occupational health practice

Salary: $65.00 - $125.00 per hour
