Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the qualification of Standard Parts that would include all phases of qualification, including: New development, test design, test review, environmental analysis, and supplier management/drum-beating.
Your challenges:
- Contribute to cabin and cargo engineering in all phases of aircraft development and product lifestyle, from prototype to final design.
- Perform qualification of cabin and cargo parts according to applicable design requirements and Airbus procedures.
- Allocation of aircraft top-level requirements down to systems level.
- Evaluate and develop lightweight solutions to improve aircraft performance.
- Provide design support, impact assessment, preparation of bottom-up design verification during full phase of aircraft development and delivery.
- Preparation of engineering technical reports and presentations.
- Check and validate the correctness of engineering data on drawings and ensure the input quality related to Aircraft Product Data Management systems to secure guaranteed limits and aircraft performance.
- Provide Engineering support to the FAL in order to secure aircraft delivery.
- Lead digitalization improvement projects within engineering teams, develop efficient methods to automate work and processes.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Aerospace engineering or related field.
- 6 years of experience in an engineering classification.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, compliance documentation, and technical documentation.
- Experience in CATIA.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills.
- Ability to inter-relate with and motivate diverse teams.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- This position falls under ITAR regulations; therefore, only candidates who meet ITAR eligibility requirements (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or other protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) can be considered. This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a Segula Technologies and placed on assignment to our client´s facility.
