Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12:00–5:00 PM or 1:00–6:00 PM
About the Role
This kind-hearted, down-to-earth family is seeking a dependable and engaging Family Assistant to support their two school-aged daughters after school each day. The girls are imaginative, playful, and love outdoor adventures—whether that’s riding scooters, dancing, or helping in the kitchen! They can be a little shy at first, but once they warm up, they’re full of laughter and creativity.
This is the perfect position for someone who thrives in a “teammate” role, bringing warmth, structure, and fun to a busy household. If you love being a positive influence and enjoy supporting kids as they grow in confidence and independence, this could be a great fit!
About the Family
The parents value strong communication, accountability, and mutual respect. They’re looking for someone who truly wants to be part of the family’s rhythm, someone who earns the girls’ trust, gently encourages responsibility, and brings a sense of fun to their afternoons. The home also includes a sweet, shy cat who keeps to herself.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll shine in this role if you can balance silliness and structure with confidence. The family hopes to find someone who will:
- Set clear, kind boundaries and follow through consistently
- Communicate effectively and take initiative (lists may be provided, but ideas are welcome!)
- Show patience as the girls warm up; emotional attunement is key
- Guide the oldest with gentle reminders and routines, while allowing the youngest independence
- Be a positive, dependable role model with a sense of humor
Responsibilities
- School pick-up and transportation to/from activities (especially dance)
- Supporting schoolwork and reading (schoolwork is the top priority)
- Preparing after-school snacks and encouraging healthy routines
- Creating a fun, safe, and emotionally supportive environment after school
- Being a calm, grounding presence
Family Assistant Tasks
- Grocery pick-up and putting away
- Dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up
- Folding laundry
- Tidying up and encouraging the girls to participate in their own chores
- No major cooking required, just snack prep and cleanup
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
