Overview:
Ben Bellucci Academy is looking for a dedicated and energetic Soccer Coach to lead after-school programs for elementary school students in Montgomery County. This position is ideal for someone with a solid soccer background who enjoys working with kids and can provide a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead fun, age-appropriate soccer drills, activities, and skill-building exercises.
- Teach soccer fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and teamwork.
- Organize scrimmages and small-sided games to reinforce skills.
- Ensure student safety, inclusiveness, and positive behavior throughout sessions.
- Develop simple lesson plans suited for elementary-aged players.
- Provide encouragement, constructive feedback, and motivation.
- Handle setup and breakdown of equipment before and after practices.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children (teaching, coaching, or mentoring preferred).
- Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent communication and ability to engage students.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check.
Schedule & Pay:
- After-school hours, usually 3:00–5:00 PM, 1–3 days per week.
- Compensation includes 1.5 hours per session (setup, coaching, and cleanup).
- Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience (≈$30–$37.50 per session).
