Responsibilities
- Consult on 747-8 technical issues
- Oversee and report on 747-8 maintenance activities
- Support 747-8 flight operations
- Develop training curriculum and train technicians on the 747-8 aircraft
- Develop maintenance processes and procedures focusing on safety, quality, and schedule.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience
- Typically, 8+ years of progressive aviation experience, which includes 4+ years of management experience.
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Familiarity with FAA regulations, policies, and procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge with aviation safety standards, safe operating practices, aircraft maintenance and inspection processes, procedures and/or returning planes to service
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and conflict resolution skills
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Familiarity with standing up and managing aircraft operations in overseas locations
- Experience as a Technical Trainer for systems and components on 747-8 aircraft
- Experience as an instructor for 80 hour Familiarization Courses and Engine Run and Taxi Courses (Both in person and virtual)
- Experience as a technical advisor for 747-8 aircraft
- Possess an FAA Aircraft Maintenance Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Security Clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
