About the role
Digital Solutions is seeking a Sales Manager that will be part of Plant Growth Team and report to Plant Growth Manager in the Americas
This role is based at our DNV office in Houston (TX), presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.
What you'll Do
- Own the end-to-end sales process and the associated sales target.
- Focus on new sales to existing customer and also hunting for new logos.
- Investigate the market, and establish sales plan in order to achieve the sales target.
- Lead the on the ground, customer facing activities within territory, become that go to person for your clients.
- Attend client meetings, conferences and lobby stakeholders as required to get the job done.
- Increase the exposure and market knowledge of DNV Digital Solutions products from the Plant product portfolio.
- Implement cross DNV BA sales strategies to provide a compelling value proposition to our client.
- Using CRM system and register all leads and opportunities to make good track record
- Develop long standing, resilient client relationships which lead to a win-win scenario for both them and DNV.
- Be an integral part of the wider commercial and Product Line teams this is not a role for a lone wolf.
Professional Growth: Working with industry-leading software of Plant product line, which are used for quantitative risk and consequence analysis, can significantly enhance your expertise in risk management and safety analysis
International Exposure: This role often involves interacting with clients and stakeholders from various industries and countries within Americas, providing a broad perspective and understanding of regional market trends and needs

About you
What is required
- Industry experience in sales demonstratable track record in securing new client, expanding the product market penetration, achieving / surpassing realistic personal sales targets.
- Bachelors Education background with Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering and QSHE
- Be the tenacious hunter.
- Extrovert, happy to present to both small client groups but also to large audiences.
- Proactively build and maintain strong relationships, both externally and internally.
- Have worked in a multi-cultural commercial environment.
- Courage to make qualified independent decisions and move forward.
- Solution oriented and highly proactive.
- Collaborative, both within immediate team and the wider business.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to inspire people, building strong relationships.
- Ability to travel to where the customer is.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills

What is preferred
- Experience in O&G, Petrochemical industries within the territory.
- Commercial experience within the technical software sector.
- Knowledge of our competitor products would be a differentiator
