About this role:
Wells Fargo has embarked on a multiyear transformation journey aimed at building a centralized capability to store, manage and analyze Financial Crimes Compliance Operations (FCO) data to fulfill the Bank's BSA / AML regulatory, compliance and risk commitments. Wells Fargo is seeking a candidate with deep expertise in product management, data, BSA/AML, operations, and technology to develop key data assets associated with the transformation effort.
The BSA /AML Data Transformation team delivers to our stakeholders curated data products, which are valuable, understandable, and trustworthy (among other attributes) to our stakeholders, the Operations and Risk analytics communities. These products directly support their ability to leverage Wells Fargo data assets for insight generation.
Success in this role will enable faster delivery of the program's objectives, which include standing up data products to drive our regulatory, compliance, and risk commitments. This role will report into the Senior Manager of Product Management and will partner closely with key leadership in FCO and Lines of Business stakeholders.

In this role, you will:
- Consult with business line and enterprise functions on complex research
- Use functional knowledge to assist in non-model quantitative tools that support strategic decision making
- Perform analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis and document process
- Present recommendations to increase revenue, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, and compliance
- Identify and define business requirements and translate data and business needs into research and recommendations to improve efficiency
- Participate in all group technology efforts including design and implementation of database structures, analytics software, storage, and processing
- Develop customized reports and ad hoc analyses to make recommendations and provide guidance to less experienced staff
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to assess proposed solutions.
- Validate that solutions meet business requirements.
- Participate in testing (UAT) and quality assurance.
- Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
- Ensure adherence to data management or data governance regulations and policies
- Participate in company initiatives or processes to assist in meeting risk and capital objectives and other strategic goals
- Collaborate and consult with more experienced consultants and with partners in technology and other business groups
- Maintain detailed documentation of requirements, processes, and changes
- 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- SAS programming experience
- API experience for connecting various data environments, such as SAS, Tableau, and Jira
- SQL: Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
- Design and implement efficient database structures and schemas to support application functionality.
- Ensure data integrity, security & compliance with regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships at all levels, engage and support stakeholders.
- Ability to perform analysis, build hypothesis, draw conclusions and communicate clear, actionable recommendations to partners.
- Detail oriented, results driven, and can navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
