Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at a fast-paced surgery center. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the anesthesia care team by ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are prepared for surgical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy, as well as experience in a hospital/surgery center or critical care environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures in the Operating Room (OR).
- Assist anesthesia providers with the setup and administration of anesthesia during surgeries.
- Monitor and ensure the functionality of anesthesia machines and related equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of anesthesia equipment usage and inventory.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Adhere to surgery center protocols and standards for infection control and safety.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in anesthesia technology.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Anesthesia Technician or in a similar role within a hospital/surgery center setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and hospital medicine.
- Familiarity with critical care practices and acute care environments.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing equipment and supplies efficiently.

Pay: $24.00 - $35.39 per hour
