Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Engineer to join our team in the North East region of the United States. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge security measures to protect against terrorist threats and enhance force protection for various facilities and infrastructure.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for diverse facilities and infrastructure
- Design and develop innovative AT/FP solutions, including physical security measures and blast mitigation techniques
- Create detailed engineering plans and specifications using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate AT/FP measures into overall facility designs
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) security standards and other relevant guidelines
- Manage AT/FP projects from conception to completion, including budget oversight and timeline adherence
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations to clients and stakeholders on AT/FP matters
- Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and best practices in the AT/FP field
- Participate in security audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented measures
- Develop and deliver training programs on AT/FP protocols for facility personnel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in AT/FP engineering or a related field (USACE experience highly preferred)
- Proven expertise in risk assessment, security system design, and blast mitigation techniques
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Strong knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) security standards and guidelines
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or similar security certification desirable
- In-depth understanding of anti-terrorism measures, force protection strategies, and relevant building codes
- Familiarity with government and military security protocols
- Willingness to travel as needed for project sites and client meetings
Additional Information
Salary: Salary range is dependent on scope of work, location of project, as well as level of experience. This range could fall anywhere between: $80 - $110k
