Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable AP Pre Calculus Tutor to assist students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pre-Calculus specifically the AP Pre-Calculus curriculum by The College Board. This role involves providing personalized 1:1 & Group tutoring sessions to help students prepare for the AP Pre-Calculus Exam this May.
Duties
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on test preparation strategies and subject comprehension.
- Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to tailor tutoring sessions effectively.
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with the curriculum and test requirements.
- Provide guidance on problem-solving techniques and study strategies to enhance student performance.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to ensure understanding.
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages questions and active participation.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
Skills
- Experience working with teens in an educational setting is essential.
- Proven tutoring experience with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students of varying ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to calculate and analyze problems logically while fostering critical thinking skills in students.
- Familiarity with classroom dynamics and the challenges faced by students preparing for tests.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
