Responsibilities of the Application Database Administrator:
EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking a full-time Application Database Administrator to support the DLA AAA Dashboard project. This role will ensure the security, integrity, and optimal performance of mission-critical databases supporting DLA’s analytics platform.
The Application Database Administrator will:
- Administer, configure, and maintain database schemas and objects across multiple platforms.
- Manage database security, access controls, and quality assurance processes.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance and integrity issues.
- Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for critical data assets.
- Implement and enforce database auditing, permissions, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with development and analytics teams to support system integration and enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with DLA, DoD, and Federal database management standards.
- Support data migration, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
- Document database procedures, configurations, and change management activities.
- Provide technical guidance on database technologies and emerging trends.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience with database query languages (Oracle, PL SQL, SQL Server, MS Access) and at least 3 years of schema management.
- Active IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive (Tier 3/Secret) clearance or higher.
- IAT Level II/DoD 8140.03 certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CASP+, or CISSP) required.
- MongoDB Certified DBA certification required.
- Experience with multiple operating systems and programming languages.
- Experience supporting at least two large-scale database projects.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
