Position Summary:
We are seeking a long-term, tech savvy, and organized Application Specialist Level I or II to join our team. The Application Specialist serves as a crucial bridge between our clients and our technology solutions, managing full EMR implementations from initiation to Go Live. Working on the front lines with customers, you’ll report to the training manager and help to improve our overall customer onboarding experience. This role involves working with multiple software platforms including EyeMD EMR, Flexsys Optical Software, and Axon Patient Engagement, as well as various customer support and management tools.
This is a year-round position with travel requirements for conferences and onsite client training, working a hybrid schedule from Bonita Springs, FL.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in technical support, customer service, or software implementation roles.
- Ability to work from our Bonita Springs, FL office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Proven track record of managing full software implementations from start to finish.
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in remote troubleshooting and guiding clients through complex resolution steps.
- Experience with ticketing systems and customer relationship management.
- Willingness to travel to conferences and provide onsite client training as required.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems, particularly in healthcare technology implementations.
- Background working in Ophthalmology, Optometry, or Ambulatory Surgery Center environments.
- Experience with optical software systems and patient engagement platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare workflows and industry-specific requirements.
- Experience with QA testing and software documentation.
