Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at our designated locations. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be tasked with protecting property, personnel, and assets while ensuring compliance with all security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the safety of individuals in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required to report incidents or provide assistance.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills related to loss prevention, surveillance techniques, and emergency response.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in loss prevention or corrections is preferred
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Military experience or training is a plus but not mandatory.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is not required but preferred; additional security certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid armed security license as per state regulations.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
