Armed Security Officer for Residence in Charleston, SC

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong conflict management skills, a background in law enforcement or military service, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
• Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Provide assistance during conflicts or disturbances, utilizing conflict management techniques.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports.
• Administer first aid or CPR as needed in emergency situations.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on security practices and protocols.

Requirements

• Valid armed security license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security preferred.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and surveillance techniques.
• Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with team members and the public.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
• Must pass background checks and any required drug screenings.

Pay: $19.25 - $20.52 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Experience:

• Armed guard: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• SLED Certification (Required)
