THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ARMED GUARD CERTIFICATION WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. Applicants without a valid CA Armed Guard license will not be considered.
Our client is a cannabis club in Sacramento, CA and is requesting armed professionals on property 7 days per week.
Prior Law Enforcement, Military or Private Security Professionals with 7+ years experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
This will be a weekly assigned schedule that does not change, so applicants with set, predictable schedules are strongly preferred.
This position will open up opportunities to work other sites and times with the company as an on-call/floater, and has a potential to become full-time for the right candidates.
Duties
- Provide Armed Security Services our client in Sacramento, CA; assignments may shift as the need arises
- Post Runs 7 days per week. This posting is to fill the swing shifts for the weekends, 0800a-1500p Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This post opens a shop that cannot open without security, so timeliness is important.
- Must hold a current license as an ARMED Security Officer in the state of California
- Must be knowledgeable and comfortable with basic self-defense and possess a working knowledge of security solutions sufficient to protect self and client from injury, damage or loss
- Must be able to handle situations diplomatically and professionally and may often times need to be able to think quickly and execute
- Patrol assigned areas on foot to ensure the safety and security of the premises
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to any suspicious activity
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks and hazards
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, and take appropriate action as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and guests with inquiries or concerns
- Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Skills:
- First Aid/CPR certification to provide immediate medical assistance if needed
- Proficient in surveillance techniques and the operation of CCTV systems
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies to prevent theft, vandalism, or other criminal activities
- Strong conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations and resolve conflicts peacefully
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and regulations to enforce rules and regulations effectively
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing situations and make sound decisions under pressure
- Experience with militarized security operations is a plus
The ideal candidate should have:
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Own body armor and essential security gear to satisfy the requirement of the client
- Experience working at a cannabis dispensary or similar
