Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at our designated locations. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be tasked with protecting property and personnel while ensuring compliance with all security protocols.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Provide loss prevention support by identifying potential theft or vandalism risks.
- Assist in conflict management situations, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required to ensure safety and compliance.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid armed ACT 235 security officer certification.
- First aid / CPR / AED certification is highly desirable.
- OC / Handcuffing / Baton certification required.
- Must own personal duty weapon, armor, and equipment.
- Must have reliable transportation to site.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must pass background checks and any required training programs.
