The position includes maintaining and operating the asphalt paver. A good operator can help create a beautiful and durable asphalt surface that is a joy to behold at the end of the day. Safely and efficiently guiding the paver, they will screed the asphalt to specification while controlling the yield of material.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 or more years’ experience operating an Asphalt Paver
- Dependable
- Positive attitude
- Comfortable using smartphone and other technology
- Good communication skills
- Work well in a team environment
- Able to participate in snow removal operations during the winter season
- Able to adhere to safety requirements & procedures in all actions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Finish Grade Skills (in a skid steer)
- Mechanical or maintenance experience with asphalt equipment
- Class A CDL to be able to haul paving equipment
- Experience with snow removal
- Able to read and understand grade stakes, automated machine control, cab displays, etc.
JOB DUTIES:
- Unloading, preparing, maintaining paver before paving begins
- Cleaning and maintaining paver after use
- Safely guiding and unloading haul trucks
- Paving consistent depth to control yield
- Communicate with other paver operator to achieve desired result including slopes
- Raking, shoveling, sweeping as needed
- Properly follow & promote all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Participate in snow removal operations during the winter season
This position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds may be required in order to complete some tasks. This is a year-round position that does participate in snow removal at all hours duties during the winter months. Work is done outdoors, so must dress for the conditions. Hours average around 50+ during the construction season with several opportunities for overtime.
