Job Title: Assembler
Location(s): Ottawa, IL - Onsite
Compensation: $16.50 - $18.50
About this position:
As an Assembler at Advantech, you will assemble electronic and mechanical parts to help build high-quality electronic products. This hands-on role involves using basic tools, handling small components, and working with a team to keep production running smoothly. You may also assist in other areas of the production line as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble products by comparing components to a finished model or visual aid and reading work order instructions.
- Use tools such as soldering irons, screwdrivers, hand cutters, pliers, etc.
- Locate, verify, inspect, and count kitted parts against model and work order quantity.
- Record any parts shortages, errors, or overruns to quality log.
- Maintain a neat work area.
- Suggest changes in procedures and methods to increase efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- High School graduate/GED, soldering and assembly experience preferred.
- Have the ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in oral and written form.
- Have the ability to perform basic math - addition and subtraction.
- Must be able to make a distinction between different colors.
- Possess a positive attitude, be organized, accurate, neat, dependable and responsible.
- Standing and mobility is required for the entire shift.
